Windows is the penultimate operating system from Microsoft, and according to many, it is one of the best operating systems after Windows 7, as it was released for free in 2015, which you can upgrade your copy of Windows, such as Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, to Windows 10 in a smooth way without losing your files.

Unfortunately, Microsoft will end the support of windows 10 starting October 14, 2025. Which raises many questions from Windows 10 users about its future.

Firstly, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10, don't worry that doesn't mean your PC will stop working, but it won't be up to date (similarly to using windows 7 nowadays).

Microsoft justified this move for security reasons, as according to Microsoft, Windows 11 is the most secure Windows ever built, with comprehensive end-to-end security that covers antivirus, firewall, internet protections. Such as AI-powered security, Privacy Dashboard and TPM 2.0 which is a required hardware specification to run Windows 11 that helps verify that your computer hasn't been tampered with, ensuring it starts up in a safe and trusted state.
So, the choice is yours to upgrade to windows 11 and stay up to date or stick with windows 10, but if you plan to keep using your Windows 10, we recommend keeping your files backed up locally and in the cloud.
